Acceptable Use & Facility Rules

These rules apply to all users of the Solo Fit facility at 38 Juniper Square, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4GB, including members, pay as you go customers, personal trainers, and their guests. By booking and entering the facility, you agree to comply with these rules at all times.

Solo Fit is an unmanned, self-access facility. There are no staff on site during your session. It is your responsibility to follow these rules and to ensure your guests do the same.

 

1. Access and booking

  • Access is permitted only during the hours of 6:00am to 10:00pm, seven days a week.

  • You must have a confirmed booking via the Solo Fit Gym app before entering the facility. Unauthorised access is strictly prohibited.

  • Access is granted via the app following a confirmed booking. You must not share your access credentials with anyone who does not have a valid booking.

  • You must arrive and depart within your booked time slot. Overstaying your slot is not permitted and may result in additional charges and suspension of your account.

  • A maximum of 4 people are permitted per pod per session.

 

2. Health and fitness

  • You must complete the Solo Fit Health & Gym Experience Questionnaire before your first session.

  • Do not use the facility if you are unwell, injured, or have been advised by a medical professional not to exercise.

  • If you experience chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other concerning symptom during your session, stop exercising immediately and call 999 if necessary.

  • The panic button inside the pod is for use in genuine emergencies. Press it immediately if someone requires urgent assistance.

  • The first aid kit is located inside the pod. Familiarise yourself with its location before commencing exercise.

 

3. Equipment use

  • All equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and any guidance displayed within the pod.

  • Inspect equipment before use. Do not use equipment that appears damaged or faulty. Report any defects immediately to hello@solofit.co.uk.

  • Do not attempt to modify, adjust, or repair any equipment.

  • Return all equipment to its correct storage position at the end of your session.

  • Use appropriate weights and resistance levels for your fitness level. Do not overload equipment.

 

4. Conduct

  • Treat the facility and all equipment with care and respect.

  • Appropriate gym attire and clean, non-marking sports footwear must be worn at all times in the training area.

  • Smoking, vaping, and the consumption of alcohol or illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the premises.

  • Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. Solo Fit reserves the right to terminate your membership or access immediately and without refund in the event of such behaviour.

  • Please be considerate of other users in adjacent pods. Excessive noise, including very loud music, is not permitted.

  • Solo Fit is a private facility. You must not film or photograph other users without their explicit consent.

 

5. Changing rooms and showers

  • Private en-suite changing and shower facilities are included with every pod booking.

  • Please leave the changing area clean and tidy for the next user.

  • Do not leave personal belongings in the changing area after your session ends.

  • Solo Fit accepts no responsibility for personal belongings left on the premises.

 

6. Cleaning and hygiene

  • Wipe down all equipment after use using the cleaning materials provided in the pod.

  • Dispose of all waste in the bins provided.

  • Do not bring food into the training pod area. Sealed water bottles are permitted.

  • Please leave the pod in the same condition you found it.

 

7. Security and CCTV

  • The premises are monitored by continuously recorded CCTV for the safety and security of all users.

  • Ensure the pod door is properly secured when you arrive and when you leave.

  • Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to Solo Fit immediately at hello@solofit.co.uk.

  • Do not allow any person without a valid booking to enter the facility.

 

8. Personal trainers and wellness professionals

  • PTs using the facility on a commercial basis must hold valid public liability insurance (minimum £5,000,000) and must be able to provide evidence of this upon request.

  • PTs are responsible for ensuring all clients complete the Health & Gym Experience Questionnaire before their first session at Solo Fit.

  • PTs are responsible for the conduct and safety of their clients during sessions.

  • PTs must not conduct sessions outside their booked time slot.

 

9. Breaches of these rules

Solo Fit Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate your membership or account, refuse future bookings, and report serious incidents to the relevant authorities, in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these rules. No refund will be given where access is terminated due to a breach.
